Competition in the Regional jet market, contrary to the duopoly between Boeing and Airbus in the large jet airliner market, has several players from several countries and continents. This last decade, a fierce battle among well-established companies, Embraer E-Jet family and Bombardier CRJ700 series (the big two players), and emerging ones, Mitsubishi Regional Jet, Sukhoi Superjet 100, Comac ARJ21 and Antonov An-148 among them, has arisen in this lucrative billion dollar market.
